Rotary Club donated clothes shipped to Sri Lanka
Canberra Tamil Association sent 23 boxes of clothes, donated by Rotary club (Canberra branch), to SL through Sivan Arul Illam early this year (2018). The brand new high quality clothes were distributed to socially disadvantaged/ war affected people from Akaraipattru, Paataalipuram (Muthur), Happutale, Olumadu (Vavuniya) & Mannar.
Thanks for those who volunteered to do a range of tasks including removing the tags, stacking, packaging and labeling etc.
Sivan Arul Illam believe that education is one of the fundamental paths to building a better future. Since the origin of the children's home 10 years ago, Sivan Arul Illam have come a long way.
Many of our children have completed their education and excel in studies and sports.
Canberra Tamil Association will continue to support the socially disadvantaged and war affected Tamil people in Sri Lanka using all available means.
