ACT Breast Screen and Cervical screening will also attend. we will have a discussion on what the ladies would like to see CTA-WF do as a group. Co-ordinator

CTA Women's Forum Meeting

We had a successful Women's Health meeting on Sat 23rd March at Tamil Seniors Hall 2019 6-8pm

-we had 25 ladies who attended

-Dr Rathi Sasitharan spoke about Breast Cancer

-Dr Shiamala Suntharalingam spoke about self breast examination

-Dr Sangavai Sivacharan spoke about Cervical Screenin

-we had Julianne from Breast Screen ACT

-Also Cheryl from Bosom Buddies

-Tiene from Cervical Screening

-they also discussed and informed the ladies and had material and breast models for them to feel

-we had one person in the ladies who had undergone breast cancer and she spoke about her experience

We have now formed the CTA-WF committee

We are planning a meeting in North Canberra and hope more Tamil ladies in the community with attend and learn and support us achieving a network of Tamil ladies to support each other / do yoga/ health walks/ cookery classes/ fund raise for projects to support Tamil Women in NE Sri Lanka and Upcountry Sri Lanka We look forward to seeing as many Tamil Ladies participating in future evens
